When is rent due?

Rent is due on the first of the month.

Do I have to pay a damage deposit?

Yes. The damage deposit is equal to one month’s rent.

What methods of payments do Hartling & Hartling accept?

We set up a pre-authorized deposit where we automatically withdraw your damage deposit and rent. Once the lease is completed, and after move out, we will return the damage deposit into your account directly, if applicable.

Before moving in you will need to:

·  Set up power - This can be done through ATCO Electric Yukon.

·  Set up the Internet - This is offered through Northwestel

·  Set up Tenant Insurance - There are many options.

Three in the Whitehorse area are:

     ·   Cooperators

     ·   Hub International

     ·   AON

On the day of the move-in, we will complete a walk-through form. This can take approximately 30 minutes to an hour.

What is my move out date?

Move out is 1 p.m. PST on the last day set on the lease.

What are the rules of the building?

Our rules are in the lease, but you should also refer to the Landlord/Tenants Handbook for local laws. The basic rules in place for the mutual respect of all neighbours are: No pets. No smoking. No parties. No loud noises.

Before moving out you will need to:

·  Advise us if there are damages that need to be repaired.

·  Hire one of our recommended professional cleaning people. We will give you their details once you decide to move out. If they are unavailable or you would prefer to use someone else, they will need to contact us to know our expectations.

·  We will meet and complete a move out form once you have completely moved out, including all furniture and objects, repairs have been completed, and the unit is professionally cleaned.

What is my move in date?

Move in is the first of the month unless otherwise discussed when signing the lease.

Are pets allowed?

We do not have pet-friendly units.

Will I need to provide references?

Yes, we will ask for two former landlord references. If you have been a homeowner and do not have landlord references, we can discuss other options.

How can I come see the unit?

If you would like to set up a showing, please contact us at lars@hartlingandhartling.com or 867-335-8888
